Preferred Payment Methods

When purchasing items for my collection, I prefer to send payment using one of the following methods:

  • PayPal (Preferred)

  • Wise (Bank Transfer)

  • Western Union (Bank Transfer or Cash Pickup)

If you require a different payment method, please let me know. I will do my best to accommodate reasonable requests whenever possible.

Reproduction Ribbon Bars

I am interested in purchasing reproduction ribbon bars for research related to a book I am currently writing. I will pay $10.00 per ribbon bar, regardless of whether it is an Ohio fake, AM Militaria reproduction, or a privately assembled reproduction. My goal is to document these reproductions and help reduce the number of them circulating through the collector market.

Attributed Ribbon Bars Wanted

I am actively seeking original ribbon bars or medal bars attributed to the following individuals for my personal collection and ongoing research:

  • Anton Ritter von Werr

  • Oberstleutnant a.D. Georg Freiherr Harsdorf von Enderndorf

  • Lukas Ritter von Kaufmann

  • Oskar Grundherr von Altenthan und Weyerhaus

  • Any Naval officer or admiral

If you own, or know the whereabouts of, any ribbon bar, medal bar, grouping, or related personal effects attributed to these individuals, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Please contact me with detailed photographs and any known provenance. All information will be treated respectfully and confidentially.

Looking to sell your ribbon bars?

I am always looking to purchase or trade items for my personal collection. My primary collecting interests include Colonial German Empire, Imperial Germany (WWI), the Weimar Republic, and the Third Reich, with a particular focus on original ribbon bars.

If you have ribbon bars or related items for sale, I'd love to hear from you. Please feel free to email me, and let's see if we can make a deal.

For a detailed list of the specific items and combinations I am currently seeking, please refer to the column next to this section.

Original Ribbon Bars

I collect original German ribbon bars dating from approximately 1870 through 1945, including the Colonial period, Imperial Germany, the Weimar Republic, and the Third Reich. I am not interested in post-war 1957 ("57er") ribbon bars.

If you have original ribbon bars for sale, please send:

  • Clear, detailed photographs of the front and back.

  • Any known history or provenance.

  • Your asking price.

Please note that, while I understand quality pieces command fair prices, I am a private collector—not a dealer purchasing for resale. I am looking to buy at reasonable market prices rather than heavily marked-up retail prices. If your asking price is fair, I would be happy to discuss a purchase and hopefully we can make a deal.

Non-Combat Medal Bars & Ribbon Bars

Non-combat medal bars and ribbon bars are an important part of my collection and research. While combat decorations often receive the most attention, non-combat awards provide valuable insight into the careers of civil servants, government officials, police, firefighters, railway employees, customs officials, postal workers, and other individuals who contributed to the administration and development of Germany during the Imperial, Weimar, and Third Reich periods.

If you have a non-combat medal bar or ribbon bar that falls within the 1870–1945 time period and are interested in selling or trading, I would be happy to review detailed photographs and discuss a potential purchase.
